One of our favourite places to visit is the huge Westfield shopping centre with over 4 levels of shops, dining, cinemas which you could spend hours there and then cross the road to the local train station to get home. The Parramatta Light Rail project was announced in 2015. Lines originating from Carlingford and Olympic Park via Wentworth Point will form a combined route at Rydalmere or Camellia and pass-through Parramatta before terminating at Westmead. The line will open in 2023.

The Parramatta ferry wharf is at the Charles Street Weir, which divides the tidal saltwater from the freshwater of the upper river on the eastern boundary of the Central Business District. The wharf is the westernmost destination of Sydney Ferries‘ Parramatta River ferry services.

This school is amazing from the presentation of the school, children’s dress codes,  and the teachers are great. OLMC is one of the best schools available in western Sydney. For the Boys? It’s always hard to find a good school for boys but from our research and school visits and people who have previously attended the school, it has to go to Parramatta Marist. With Great yearly results, beautiful, well-kept premises and great long-term teachers, Parramatta Marist should be on top of your list. But don’t expect it to be easy to get into this school! Parramatta Marist is a high-demand school and extremely difficult to get into with tuff criteria to meet to ensure you have backup options.

For Families seeking public school options, Parramatta High School is the one to select. With coeducational options, this school ranks extremely high annually with the HSC scores. Nice and central to Parramatta with local transport easily accessible it should be on your short list. I will finish off with a few recommendations on things to do at Parramatta. As mentioned previously, Parramatta is filled with cafes, restaurants and shopping centres. Enjoy a nice morning coffee with breakfast and perhaps a stroll through Westfield’s shopping centre. I love getting on the Ferry for a cruise and enjoying the views. The ferry wharf is located next to Phillip and Charles Street. This is the best access in my opinion. Also, there is plenty of street parking available.
